Vatican Symposium: The Protection of the Brain and Mind (2027)

I am leading development of an international symposium in collaboration with the Pontifical Academy for Life that will bring together leaders in neuroscience, neurotechnology, ethics, law, medicine, philosophy, and public policy to examine the opportunities and challenges presented by emerging brain technologies.

BrainMind Neuroethics Advisory Board

I recently joined the BrainMind Neuroethics Advisory Board, contributing to efforts that help guide the responsible development and governance of emerging neurotechnologies.

International Neurotechnology Engagement

In 2026 I was invited to Stockholm, Sweden, to speak on the ethical implications of brain-computer interfaces and the future of neurotechnology. These discussions continue to inform collaborations across academia, industry, policy, and medicine.

State Neurorights Legislation

As Medical Director of the Neurorights Foundation, I continue to support legislative efforts aimed at protecting neural data, mental privacy, and fair access to mental augmentation. Recent work has included engagement with legislation in Vermont, Massachusetts, Colorado, and other jurisdictions.

Colorado Medical Society President

As the incoming President of the Colorado Medical Society (term beginning September 2026), I work alongside physicians across Colorado to advance patient care, professional advocacy, and emerging issues in medicine and health policy.
